Online Tool

I found the assignment in last class fascinating.  I never knew there were so many tools out there that were available for use.  Most of the tools were free but some with cost upgrades.  I found it really helpful to go through some of these tools and just start exploring what was out there.  While we did have some issues with some of the tools, I could see the use for several of these tools in a classroom.  Even if you as a teacher did not have access to a lot of technology, these tools could be used to as extensions that students could choose to explore at home.  I also had the thought that because there were so many different tools to choose from just on this one website that you could find a tool that for everyone.  One tool may help a couple of students but not others.  There were so many different options that you could explore to find just the right tool for students.

  1. I am right there with you... I never knew that there were so many useful tools out there for people. I guess I was somewhat naive about the whole technology thing because I have family who works with technology on a daily basis and yet never paid attention to the interesting sites and tools they were telling me about. I love how these tools are easy to use and seem to be made for all types of people and since I'm going into Special Education I love that some of these tools/websites are geared or easily accessible for them!

  2. I also found that all these sites had a lot to offer. They could be incorporated in many ways. Some are not as clear as others but I think students would have a lot of fun looking through these and using them. I know that I enjoyed looking through them and thinking of different ways I could incorporate them in my teaching. What makes it so easy too is that they are all mostly free and all you need is a computer with internet access.
